At this workshop you will:
• Gain insight into the contractual provisions for adverse subsurface physical conditions and differing site conditions or field changed conditions, of both types I and II

• Understand the relevance of independent inspections and verifications of existing subsurface foundations/piling systems by the superstructure works contractor prior to tendering

Part II: Conformity Assessment and Inspection Methods
At this workshop you will:
• Review common quality inspection program requirements for the structural integrity of foundations including piling structures
• Study the types of inspection methods available and their associated technologies
• Define when to use nondestructive stress-wave or seismic testing methods post completion
• Understand the fundamentals, merits and limitations of the basic Nondestructive Testing and Evaluation (NDT/E) methods for the inspection of piles using dynamic-pile-testing, including Cross-Hole Sonic Logging (CSL) and tomography, sonic-echo impact-echo or pulse-velocity and energy based methods
