“Building Sustainability ”

·         Define “building sustainability” and “building automation.”

·         Identify four major areas where building automation can influence building sustainability.

·         Describe one or more ways that building automation contributes to each of the four areas.

·         Explain what they can do to ensure a greater level of building sustainability on their next project.

“LEED Credits & Controls ”

·         Identify 4 LEED categories that control systems impact

·         Identify the approximate average number of LEED points that a control system influences

·         Describe several ways that a control system improves energy efficiency and building sustainability

·         Have a basic understanding of why BACnet systems should be the basis of future control systems

·          Leturer:  James R. Herdeman, Vice president KMC, USA

·         Mr. Herdeman has over 30 years in the Buildin Automation and HVAC Controls industry.  He started his career as a design/development Engineer at Honeywell, Inc. and became the Director of Systems Marketing at Invensys Building Systems where he was responsible for the development and worldwide deployment of the leading edge Network 8000 IBMS system used in applications throughout the Gulf Region.
